Soooooooooo how did my Saturday go?
Really great!!!! Verg and I got a SleepNumber bed and decided that if ONE person can put it up in a hour, TWO people could probably do it in a half hour. NOT!!!!!! It took us 3 1/2 hours to put that bed up but I think it will be so worth it. Verg and Kipp were switching back and forth over the chair in our bedroom. It is shorter than our old bed but it is 4" wider so now I will have to get new bedding, DARN!!!!!!!! I will let you know how it goes even though the instructions say it might take 4 to 5 nights to get the right adjustment!!!! Wow, it's so sad when the highlight in one's life is a new bed!!

Edward Jones: Making Sense of Investing
Edward Jones: Making Sense of Investing
This is my "swan song"!!! How I love working for this company under the tuledge of Kerry Lawson!!! I was released from my job of ten years at Safford High School due to budget cuts. It was heart-breaking and with me being the insurance staple, I felt trapped. It so happened an Edward Jones was looking for a full time BOA (branch office administrator), so I went to apply. The husband and wife team thought I fit what they were looking for so I felt confident I had the job. After a phone call from the FA telling me it was with much struggling they decided to hire a BOA with 5 years experience, thanks but no thanks. Come to find out, she was from Kerry's office and Kerry was told by her she was going back to school. Now an Edward Jones office usually contains only a FA and a BOA. Kerry was alone for 3 weeks, taking care of EVERYTHING he had his BOA do. I got another call from Edward Jones' corporate office of this part-time job and went to Kerry's office where he had hired Gayle Wright. I met with Kerry and even though I needed a F/T job with benefits, I knew this is where I needed to be!! Best decision of my life, Gayle is my sister-friend and even though Kerry is an A-typical personality and can be very moody, I LOVE MY JOB!!!!!

In Memoriam....
Our Beloved ChoolieIt is with an extremely heavy heart I write about one of our family members who has passed on to be there to wait for us with all the love and devotion she showed all of us on this earth.
Shortly after Christmas when Tifani was staying with us due to the extreme amount of Vicadin she was given to bring relief to her in-much-pain lower back, she and I were in the Maine room talking after getting Brynlee down from her 3:30 am bottle. My cell phone rang and Tifani immediately grabbed my shoulder while I answered the call. On the other end, came sobs from our precious Shawna and after a few minutes of her taking deep breathes did she let us know our beloved Jessie had past away!!!! Immediately I felt a void that our granddog could only fill. I know some people reading this blog will think otherwise if they don't feel about animals the way I do, that is perfectly fine but know for those of us that do love animals especially dogs, Jessie's passing is heart-breaking!! Shawna said later that Ben stayed up and went on the Internet to see if there was more he could have done since only a hour before she was climbing the stairs to go to her bed. Then Shawna called a friend of hers who was a counselor for advice on how to handle the loss with Theron and Sydney. Benji found books on the subject of loosing a pet and a heaven for pets. This father and mother are the greatest examples of parenthood in helping their family cope with this loss. Our other daughters and their husbands have done the same thing in helping their children through difficult times as is evident with sending pillow pets to Theron and Sydney and talking with their niece when she lost her kitten. Theron was so worried about how Benji felt since "Jessie loved him best". Sydney still wants to hear Jessie "breathe". Jessie also affectionately known as Choolie had the greatest life with Ben and Shawna, Theron and Sydney. Verg and I had the extreme pleasure of being able to have Choolie with us when Ben and Shawna and kids went on vacation or a trip!!!!!
Thank you, Choolie, for loving us and we know we will be together forever!
Where our children reside.....
C.J. and Amber~Silver City, NM
Tifani and her family~Safford, AZ
Shawna and her family~Wenatchee, WAHeather and her family~Taylor, AZ
So these are the spots where our precious children reside. They have given Verg and I a wide variety of scenic and diverse areas to make each visit a spectacular event. It is a blessing to know in these different climates, latitude and longitudes, our family is growing, achieving, blending, having trials and triumphs in their lives but whether it is in a grass hut, igloo, teepee, apartment or standard usual home, Heather, Trevor, Tifani, Brian, Shawna, Ben, Rex, C.J. and Amber will build their lives and those of their families on the solid foundation of the Gospel! They are the greatest examples to Vergene and I!! I love you all so very much!
My Introduction to Washington
Absolutely love this area!!!!
The girls enjoying Leavenworth There are times when keeping a secret from a family member seems to be sneeky, conniving, underhanded and so horrid to do~~~NOT!!! Such was the case when I joined Tifani and Brylee for a trip to Wenatchee to visit the Bryans and by the expressions and emotions at the airport it worked!!! Being with Benji, Shawna, Theron and Sydney was an event to remember!! I have always wanted to visit the Northwest and the time of season was perfect!! The colors of Fall, the apple harvests, the outdoor markets, the old town feel of Wenatchee, Cashmere and the awesome Bulgarian themed town of Leavenworth. I have returned with a mission in mind~to get a vacation retreat in Cashmere. I must admit, having the Bryans move to Washington is a bit extreme to get me to the Great Northwest but hey it worked! Thank you so much Benji, Shawna, Theron, Sydney, Tifani and Brynlee for a most awesome adventure for Mimi!!!!
October 2010~~Incredible!!!!
